How our mail-in phone repair service works

A proper postal phone repair UK process should feel like tracking a parcel, not like sending your phone into a black hole. Here’s the usual flow:

  1. Book online and pay — select your phone model and repair type, see the price, and pay securely at checkout.
  2. Receive your free label — we email you a tracked Royal Mail postage label within one working day.
  3. Post your phone — drop it at any Post Office. Your device is fully insured in transit.
  4. We repair and test — our technicians complete your repair and run full device tests before returning it.
  5. We send it back — your repaired phone is returned by tracked delivery, usually within 3–5 working days of us receiving it.

Most repairs are straightforward — an iPhone screen replacement, iPhone battery replacement or Samsung screen repair. Others need diagnosis first, especially water-damaged phones or anything with power issues. If the issue is vague (random restarts, no signal, overheating), we’ll treat it as a diagnostic first and confirm next steps before doing anything.

Why send your phone to us for repair?

  • Free Royal Mail postage both ways — we cover the cost of sending your phone to us and returning it to you
  • Fully insured transit — your device is covered up to £750 while it’s in the post
  • UK-based repair team — your phone never leaves the UK
  • Warranty included — all repairs come with a minimum 12-month warranty covering parts and labour, and premium screens carry a lifetime warranty. See our full warranty terms
  • iPhone and Samsung specialists — all major models from iPhone 11 through iPhone 17, and Samsung Galaxy S21 through S25 Ultra, with older models quoted on request
  • No fix, no fee — if we can’t repair your phone, you pay nothing and we return it at no cost
  • Price promise — see our price promise for details

Packing and sending your phone safely

Posting a phone is simple, but a little prep saves a lot of hassle. I always tell people to treat it like sending a pair of glasses — protect it from knocks, and protect your data.

Before you send it:

  • Back up your phone — use iCloud, Google, or a computer backup
  • Remove your SIM and memory card — easy to forget, important not to
  • Charge it if you can — even 20% helps testing
  • Don’t send accessories — no cases, chargers or screen protectors unless we ask
  • Pack it properly — bubble wrap, padded envelope or a small box, then tape well
  • Note your IMEI number — dial *#06# before sending

One privacy point that matters: we may ask for a passcode for testing (checking cameras, speakers, biometric prompts and touch). You should never share your Apple ID or Google account password — a legitimate repair needs device access, not account access.

If anyone asks for your iCloud or Google account password, stop. A legit repair needs access to the phone for tests, not your account login.

What phones do we repair by post?

In the workshop: what happens to your phone

Once your phone reaches us, we log it in, confirm the model, then test the fault you reported. After that, we repair, re-test, and do final checks before it goes back out.

The most common repairs we see:

  • Cracked screen repair — including “I dropped it getting out the car” classics
  • Battery replacement — sudden shutdowns, rapid drain, swelling
  • Charging port repair — lint, wear, liquid exposure
  • Camera repair — front and rear, blurry images, black screen
  • Water damage diagnostics — often salvageable, sometimes not

People ask how long phone screen repair takes UK-wide. The repair itself is usually completed within 24 hours of us receiving the phone. The overall turnaround — including postage in both directions — is typically 3–5 working days door to door.
